Currently, the Teatros del Canal in Madrid is one of the most renowned performing arts centers in the world. To meet the demand for a cutting-edge, modern space equipped with innovative technology, they have launched a project to digitize their external communications.
Opened in 2009, the Teatros del Canal are located in a modern building in the Chamberí neighborhood of Madrid, with three public theaters and the Centro Danza Canal. In addition to diverse artistic productions, the theaters also host festivals periodically organized by the Community of Madrid. The building, which received the Architecture Award from the Spanish Biennial, has welcomed over 1 million spectators and has staged over 700 shows to date.
Madrid is one of the reference centers in the European entertainment industry. However, there are not many spaces that are modern and technologically capable enough to accommodate certain artistic productions. With the intention of satisfying the need for an elite space, the Community of Madrid promoted the construction of the Teatros del Canal. Now, more than 10 years later, they have set out to update and improve the technological and external communication infrastructure of the center.
All spaces at Teatros del Canal are equipped with the latest technology, allowing for great flexibility to adapt to any stage proposal. For this reason, the facade was not going to be any less and needed a more impactful communication. As it is glass, we installed our semi-transparent digital vinyl to not detract from the building's renowned architecture.
dFlex™: Semi-transparent, flexible and lightweight LED vinyl installed on the building's glass façade to program content promoting information and events happening at the center.
